Pavitra Muralidhar

Pavitra is an assistant professor in the Department of Ecology and Evolution at the University of Chicago.

Previously, she was a Center for Population Biology and NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Davis. She did her PhD in the Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University.

She is (very) broadly interested in understanding the causes and consequences of sexual reproduction across biological scales, which includes everything from sexual selection to the evolution of anisogamy.

Ilyas Qureshi

Ilyas is a UChicago undergraduate majoring in biology and physics. He is studying how drift-based processes may drive evolutionary transitions across a variety of diverse scenarios, including, for example, sexual selection and the evolution of anisogamy.
